About The Founder
Hello there!
I care about how organizations work: how people lead, how decisions get made, and what helps or gets in the way of getting things done.
Throughout my career, I’ve seen how closely these things connect. A process problem can create tension between people. Unclear roles can leave leaders carrying too much. Priorities can be clear, yet the team may lack the time, tools, or support to execute them.
That’s what I help leaders work through. As the founder of Journey Consulting Group, I help leaders build organizational and operational capacity: the people, practices, processes, and systems they need to do the work and sustain it over time. Much of my work centers on affordable housing and public sector organizations, where leaders balance daily demands with their responsibility to serve people and communities.
My path to this work began in corporate technology environments, where change and redesign were part of everyday life. Over more than 15 years of leadership in corporate America, I worked across project and program management, process improvement, strategy development, and agile delivery. I learned to look at both the work itself and the conditions people need to do it well.
I wanted to better understand what I was seeing in practice and how leaders could respond. I earned a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership from Regent University and describe myself as a pracademic, bringing practical experience and academic knowledge together to make sense of challenges and turn learning into action.
I am also a certified coach and Project Management Professional (PMP). I draw on both to help leaders work through change and challenges, support their teams, and move priorities into action.
When we work together, I take time to understand what you and your team are experiencing. We look at what keeps coming up, where work gets stuck, and what people need to move forward. That may mean clarifying responsibilities, improving a process, or working through leadership expectations and cross-departmental collaboration.
I bring curiosity, honest conversation, and a willingness to work through the details with you. I care about whether what we develop makes sense to the people who will use it and works in the day-to-day.
What I enjoy most is seeing people make connections, learn from one another, and find a clearer way forward. I help leaders build organizations that support people, simplify the work, and consistently deliver.
